General Description
The AK-Wissenschaftpreis has been established by the Chamber of Workers and Employees for Upper Austria to honour significant academic contributions to the improvement of the labour and living conditions of working people. Winners will be awarded a prize of 3000 euro.
Requirements
This award will be given to academic and research works whose subject matter deals with a topic previously set by the Chamber of Workers and Employees for Upper Austria. Winning papers will be selected on the basis of the following criteria: accordance with the award´s purpose and announced research question; relevance to the Austrian state of affairs concerning the research topic; compliance with the basic principles of the Chamber of Workers and Employees; scientific quality, and practical value for the activities of labour unions. Priority will be given to candidates which are members or children of members of the Chamber of Workers and Employees for Upper Austria.
