Awarded by the German Chemical Society (GDCh), the Gerrhard Bilek prize recognises an outstanding dissertation in the area of food chemistry with prize money of 2,000 Euros. The prize aims to acknowledge and reward scientific originality and an interdiscplinary approach.
The dissertation must have been completed in the previous year and have been published in at least one original scientific publication at the time of application. Nominations may be made by a student's mentoring professor. Students themselves may also apply.
