General Description
The Lucien Cahen Prize is awarded by the Royal Academy for Overseas Sciences to the author of a memoir on a subject related to geological sciences in overseas territories. The Prize is awarded once every 3 years. The prize money is €2,500.
Requirements
The award is reserved for Belgian authors or authors of other nationalities who are affiliated with a Belgian institution of higher education or research. Candidates must have authored a memoir of high scientific value on a subject related geological sciences in overseas territories. The work must either be unpublished or published within the preceding 3 years. The memoir should be written in English, French, Dutch or Spanish. Members of the Royal Academy for Overseas Sciences cannot be awarded the Prize.
