The University College Birmingham (UCB) funds Standard Tuition Fee Waivers for students who are either full-time undergraduates or enrolled in a PGCE programme. Only students on foundation or bachelor’s courses are considered. It is valued at £1,030. Students must fulfill the household income requirements established by Student Finance England to be eligible for the waiver.
For applicants to apply their household income must be equal to or below £16,190. The UCB Standard Tuition Fee Waiver is not applicable to recipients of a National Scholarship Programme award, even if their household income is below the required threshold. If there is no change in their financial status after their first year of study at University College Birmingham, then students can apply for the waiver in subsequent years. It is mandatory that those interested in receiving the waiver be eligible to receive funding from Student Finance England.
