Bradford University and the government offer financial aid to students with disabilities. The aid is based on need and not on income. Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSAs) are are available to help pay for costs which are directly related to the course the student is enrolled in. This includes specialist equipment, non-medical helpers, note-takers, sign language interpreters, and travel costs. DSAs are available to both post graduate and undergraduate students. They are also available to both part-time and full-time students, but part-time students must be taking at least 25% of the full-time course.
The DSAs are only offered to students with a disability. Applicants must also be currently enrolled at Bradford University.
