The Oxford fee reduction and bursary package is available to students who come from households with an income that is £16,000 a year or less. The award is possible because of a donation by Sir Michael Moritz and his wife Harriet Heyman. It is for new UK or EU undergraduate students. Successful students will have the opportunity to take part in volunteering activities, and they will have access to internships during summer holidays.
There is no need to apply for this scholarship. Instead it is based on household income and previous academic achievements. Eligible new first-year students are invited to become Moritz-Heyman Scholars. Socio-economic indicators are taken into account. Care leavers will have an advantage. Students from schools that have a history of sending students to Oxford also have an advantage.
