First year undergraduate students at the University of York can get a financial award from the National Scholarship Programme. It is worth £4,000 and can be used to offset accommodation fees. If student continues to meet the criteria further awards are available.
This scholarship is available to all first year undergraduate students who ordinarily reside in England. To b eligible students must come from a household where the income is £15,000 a year or less. In order to be able to assess household income, students must have applied for income assessed support. There is no need to apply for the scholarship directly though. If the student is eligible, the university makes contact.
