About this scholarship

Danish Physiotherapists' study scholarship (suspended 2025-2027)

You received up to 400,000 DKK (about 53,000 EUR) per year for 1 years to undertake a PhD or a postdoctoral fellowship as a physiotherapist. A postdoctoral fellowship is a paid research position that you take up after completing your PhD. The funding covered tuition fees, books and teaching materials. In the last round of awards in December 2024, the fund awarded one PhD scholarship worth 450,000 DKK (approximately 60,000 EUR) and two postdoctoral fellowships, each worth 500,000 DKK (approximately 67,000 EUR). The money came from ‘Danske Fysioterapeuter’ (Danish Physiotherapists), the Danish Physiotherapists’ Association. It was paid from the association’s fund for research, training and practice development, which is financed by membership fees.

This part of the fund is suspended for 2025-2027. The association states that it will no longer be funding training programmes during these years. Whilst it will continue to provide funding for research and professional development, this is separate from the scholarship described here for doctoral and postdoctoral studies.
