The British Library is offering the British Library Scholarship to support projects that draw significantly on both the holdings and expertise of the British Library. As a consequence, successful students will be jointly supervised by staff at the University of Sheffield and at the British Library (with the Sheffield academic acting as the lead supervisor). Value: Full UK/EU tuition fees, a stipend of EURO 17,350 per year, and a Research Training Support Grant of EURO 1,250 per year for expenses related to their research, such as travel, conferences, books, consumables and equipment. Length: 3 years.
Awards are open to UK, EU and international applicants. International applicants will required to prove that they have sufficient funds to cover the difference between the UK/EU and Overseas tuition fees; applicants should be registering on the first year of their PhD with the University on a British Library Scholarship research project.
