The University presents the Chancellor’s English Essay Prize, a fund with a £250 award. Students will have to write an essay of not more than 12,500 words on the topic “To err is human”. Entries should be submitted on a sealed envelope and addressed to the English Faculty Office. The writer will have to use a codename in their essays. A separate sheet bearing the author’s name, college and codename will be submitted together with the entry.
