The Mathematical Institute at the University of Oxford funds a Philip Wright Scholarship. The purpose of the scholarship is to help defray costs for former students of the Manchester Grammar School. The scholarship pays for university fees up to a maximum of 10,000 Pounds (currently about 12,500 Euro), and a maintenance grant of 8,000 Pounds (currently about 10,000 Euro) per year. If the student has another grant, the award is reduced to the standard college fee (currently 2,532 Pounds or 3,166 Euro). The scholarship is renewable for an additional two years.
The scholarship is available to students of Wadham College. Applicants must be former students of Manchester Grammar School.
