The Ostfalia University for Applied Sciences has, in conjunction with the Germany Scholarship Programme of the Federal Government, awarded scholarships since 2011. The Germany Scholarship consists of a scholarship paid in the amount of 300 Euro per month. The scholarship will initially be granted for a period of a year and in accordance with academic performance, can be extended to the duration of the standard period of study.
Fundamentally, applications for the Germany Scholarships will be accepted from current students in all faculties. This programme is focused particularly on current students at the Ostfalia University for Applied Sciences. New students should have achieved an outstanding grade point average in their Abitur (school leaving examinations). For applications after the second study semester, applicant must present at least good academic achievement (2.49 or better). Additionally, other factors could be taken into consideration, such as social involvement. There are no further criteria for the Germany Scholarship.
