General Description
The German Cancer Aid and the Mildred Scheel doctoral program award scholarships to young, scientifically interested physicians who are completing their PhD in cancer research. The successful doctoral students should carry out their work in a recognised research laboratory. Sholarships are in the amount of 1,000 euros per month and are offered for a period of one year. If requested, 5,000 euros can be allocated annually for the purchase of materials. The thesis supervisor must be a co-applicant.
Requirements
The scholarship is aimed at medical students who are conduction their doctoral thesis in the field of cancer research. A prerequisite for funding is an overall rating of 2.5 or better in the first state examination. Applicants must be 25 years of age or younger.
