General Description

Students in higher education who are living in the UK can apply for the Disabled Students’ Allowance

Full-time students will be getting Up to £5,212 for the whole course regarding the Specialist equipment allowance, up to £20,725 a year regarding Non-medical helper allowance, up to £1,741 a year for General allowance. Part-time students will be awarded up to £5,212 for the whole course regarding the Specialist equipment allowance, up to £15,543 a year regarding Non-medical helper allowance or up to £1,305 a year regarding the general allowance.

Requirements

Applicants can apply if they are disabled, having mental or long-term health condition or specific learning difficulty including dyspraxia or dyslexia. Applicants must be postgraduate or undergraduate student including open universities. They must have a situation or condition that affects their studying ability.

EU students are not eligible for applying. Applicants who are eligible for NHS Disabled Students’ Allowance are not eligible for the scholarship too.
