This includes the University of Glasgow. The award is worth £3,400. The scholarship is given by the Refrewshire Educational Fund, which was established in 1936. The award is paid directly to the successful applicant’s university to cover part of the student’s tuition fees.
Applicants should be in their final year of an undergraduate degree program from the following institutions: University of Glasgow, West of Scotland, Glasgow Caledonian; Glasgow School of Art and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. They should have had permanent residence in the East Renfrewshire, Inverclyde or Renfrewshire local authority areas for a minimum of three years in the last 10 years. And they should have a total household income that does not exceed £34,195 a year. Applicants must provide two references confirming academic achievement and character, as well as a personal statement on how the award will assist in their intended career path. In addition, applicants have to provide up-to-date financial details. The scholarship is only open to students from Scotland and the EU. Candidates must be pursuing a taught postgraduate degree.
