General Description
The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC) has a Niger Delta Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme for applicants from Rivers, Delta and Bayelsa States in Nigeria to further their education in courses that are relevant to the oil and gas industry. The scholarship provides full tuition fees, a stipend equal to the British Council rate, one return flight and an arrival allowance and a thesis allowance. Awards are tenable for one academic year and are only available for the following postgraduate programmes: MSc in Chemical Process Engineering, MSc in Mechanical Engineering, MSc in Civil Engineering.
Requirements
Candidates must be nationals of Nigeria and be a native of the Rivers, Delta or Bayelsa States. Candidates must have an upper second class first degree or equivalent. Candidates must have English proficiency. Candidates must not be a current nor former employee of SPDC, the Royal Dutch Shell Group of Companies or Karamat Limited. Candidates must show leadership potential and intellectual ability.
