The Walter Haslinger Private Foundation awards an annual scholarship in the amount of 5,000 Euro. Candidates must have written an outstanding paper in the field of commercial law, especially corporate law or the business relevant portions of general private law.
Applicants must not be older than 35 years of age. They must be members or graduates of Johannes Kepler University Linz or the University of Salzburg, or be employed by the OLG Linz. Professors of Austrian universities, employees of Haslinger/Nagele & Partner law firm, or past winners may not apply.
Valid submissions are jurisprudential papers written in German, either unpublished or published after a given date. For a dissertations or thesis, the same deadline is valid for their approbation.
The paper must be delivered in a sealed envelope. Along with the paper a short resume of the author is to be included which must also list any academic marks received for the paper. If the paper has been submitted to other institutions that award prizes, this must be included in the application letter.
