The Wilhelm Macke Master Thesis Prize was created to reward outstanding master thesis papers in physics written at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz. The prize is awarded to up to three candidates per academic year. 1,500 Euros is the prize amount. The winner will be expected to publicly present the paper, which will also be made available to teachers, at the Macke Award ceremony.
The paper must have received a mark of "very good." Thesis approbation must have taken place within the 13.5 months preceding the application date. Candidates can apply themselves or an application may be submitted by a JKU physics department faculty member for a student.
