General Description
The Karl and Lilli Till Foundation funds a subsidy for the educational support of talented young music students from Altötting and surrounding areas, or if applicable from Bavaria in general. The foundation's purpose is to support students preferably from the state music universities in Munich, Würzburg and Nürnberg or the Mozarteum in Salzburg. The subsidy is to be used especially for one year of education with the possibility of a extension in exceptional cases, and for the procurement and maintenance of musical instruments.
No subsidy will be granted if the applicant is already receiving state support (BAföG) or has been awarded other assistance. The subsidy amount is EUR 250 monthly or a one time maximum of EUR 3,000 per person.
Requirements
To apply you must have passed the entrance exam to one of the above mentioned institutions and have been awarded admittance or have already begun your studies there. Applicants must believably prove that they live in conditions that make a subsidy necessary. They must also provide information about why they were not granted state support in the form of BAföG, etc. You must be no older than 30 years of age. Your residence must have been officially registered as being within the administrative district of Altötting or another Bavarian district for at least the last 3 years.
