University students that come from households with income that is less than £25,000 a year are eligible for Access Entry Bursaries. The bursary is valued at £1,000 and is awarded to full-time students. They are normally paid as cash in installments.
Receiving students must have a household income of less than £25,000. They must also be in receipt of a full government living cost grant. A QAA-recognized Access or Higher Education Diploma is required, and the student must be over 21 when commencing their first year of an undergraduate course. Repeating students do not qualify. Students who take a compulsory or optional year abroad do not qualify either.
