General Description

The Countries in Crisis Scholarships offer financial assistance to students on a Masters programme in hardship as a result of their home country being in political turmoil, at war or ravaged by a natural disaster. The scholarship consists of a substantial award valued at £20,000 covering tuition fees, accommodation and living costs.

Requirements

This scholarship is only open to full time students on a Masters programme (except MBA) from a country in crisis*, who is self-funded and who is in financial hardship. You must have been offered a place to study at the University of Bradford before applying. Applicants must provide a compelling case of financial hardship as a result of a political crisis, war or a natural disaster in their home country.

*The countries in crisis comprise most countries in Africa, as well as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Colombia, Georgia, Haiti, Honduras, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Lebanon, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal and the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Pakistan (eligible for Bestway Foundation Scholarships), Russia (North Caucasus), Sri Lanka, the Syrian Arab Republic and Timor-Leste. Exceptionally, students from other countries not on the list may also be considered.
