The IMF scholarships are funded by the Japanese government and administered by the IMF Institute. Scholars will receive full funding for a PhD programme in Macroeconomics outside Japan. Other services are granted including medical insurance, allowances, travel grants…

Eligible candidates are Japanese citizens who are current or prospective macroeconomics PhD students in a university outside Japan.
