General Description
St. Thomas Trust has been so generous that the University of Bath was able to establish an Organ Scholarship. It is tenable at the Cathedral. It is only open to undergraduates at the university. The scholarship is awarded annually to a candidate who must have an understanding of the liturgical and musical traditions of the Church of England. The award is renewable annually for a maximum of three years. Renewal is conditional on satisfactory academic progress and on the efficient performance of duties. The St Thomas Organ Scholar is nominated by the Professor of Music and the Director of Music, and the appointment is approved by the Dean and Chapter, and by the University of Bristol.
Requirements
