The Swiss Government Scholarships for Research are presented to allow chosen applicants for undertaking a research in the realm of the PhD or in their Medical specialization at any of the 10 Swiss public Universities. The scholarship can be awarded only for the full-time research while part-time research cannot be given a scholarship. The scholarship will be presented for the highly qualified postgraduate researches at any academic field including young Medical Doctors. The SGSR values 1920 Swiss Francs. It will exemption of your tuition fees excluding the EPFL. The scholarship will provide the sum of airfare for grantees living outside Europe. At the beginning of the scholarship, there will be 300 Swiss Francs given as a special lodging allowance. Grantees will be getting a half-fare public transportation card that lasts for one year. There will be several trips, sigh seeing tours and dinners offered for grantees.
Applicants must be holding a master’s degree or equivalent. Their age should not exceed 35 years old when they apply. Those who are staying in Switzerland for more than a year at the start of the scholarship will not be eligible for the scholarship. Applicants should deliver or send an email from a professor at the Swiss host institution mentioning that she/he is going to be the supervisor of the research. The research proposal has to include a timeframe. They should be in lead of essential language skills demanded for the research. Those who was given a previous Swiss Government Scholarship cannot be awarded a second one.
Applications have to be typed and not to be handwritten. Applicants should include copies of grade sheets and university certificates, 2 recommendation letters from professors of the applicants’ field. They have to send maximum 5 pages proposal, maximum 2 pages motivation letter, A full curriculum vitae with list of academic publications, a copy of professor’s confirmation, health certificate and a copy of their passport.
