As quite a few students refrain from partaking in extracurricular activities due to financial constraints, the necessity to provide funding in order to heighten the interest in such activities was seen as a necessity. This resulted in the creation of The Roland Levinsky Memorial Fund Awards which is open to students who have finished a minimum of 1 year in University. Field trips, sports, travel and volunteer work are just a few of the areas covered by the Roland Levinsky Memorial Fund Awards.
The Roland Levinsky Memorial Fund Award is offered to second year university students. Other determinants where qualifying for this award is concerned, includes the interests that one has in extracurricular activities as well as the form of extracurricular activities the applicant wishes to partake in. The maximum amount received by an individual applicant is £1500.
