General Description
Assisting those leaving care is an important mission at Cardiff Metropolitan University. It shows this by offering the Care Leavers Bursary. This bursary is for students who have been in care since the age of 14. The maximum amount that a student can receive is £1,000.
Requirements
All applicants must be registered students at the university. Anyone who has been in care since the age of 14 is eligible, so long as that care lasted for more than six months. If the student has been in care from the age of 16 the period of care must be at least 3 months. The bursary is open to students who have been irreconcilably estranged from parents or guardians between the age of 16 and leaving school. Applying students must be under the age of 25.
