Students starting a dietetics course at a UK university can get their tuition fees paid. The award is for the full amount of the fee. Those from poor family backgrounds can also qualify for a bursary. Reduced rate student loans are available to bursary-qualified students. Awards are also available to help cover the costs of accommodation and transport when students are on clinical placements.
To qualify for a bursary and the other awards (reduced rate loans and help to cover the costs of clinical placements) students must be from the UK. The bursary is means tested so the amount awarded varies depending on need. The requirements for tuition fee payments are different. It is not means tested so all students qualify. However they must be from the UK or the EU.
