Due to financial restraints, many students are unable to fulfil their dreams of attending a higher level institution. Through trusts such as the Great Britain-China Educational Trust, low income students are able to get funding for their education. The amounts awarded can be as high as to £3,000 per recipient.
Requirements
Students pursuing courses in forestry or coastal studies are given preference where obtaining an award from The Great Britain-China Educational is concerned. Other means of qualifying include having a great academic record. Those applying for this award also need to be pursuing a PhD at a University in the United Kingdom and be from the People’s Republic of China or Hong Kong.
