The University of Leicester has built a network consists of 19 Further Education Colleges and three Higher Education Institutions across the East and West Midlands. CULN stands for Colleges-University of Leicester Network, and it offers The CULN College Transition Scholarship of £1,000 cash to help the students with their living costs. 100 most deserving students entering the University from local colleges that are members of CULN will be awarded the scholarships.
To be able to receive a scholarship, candidate must be registered as a full-time student at the University of Leicester. Student living in England and are eligible to apply for home rate student funding from Student Finance England are eligible for these scholarships. Student must have applied for, and be in receipt of, a Tuition Fee Loan in order to be eligible for the National Scholarship Programme. Student who only receive a Maintenance Grant or a Maintenance Loan won't be eligible for the National Scholarship Programme. Student who has previously entered higher education will not be eligible for the National Scholarship Programme.
