Students at the University of Oxford's Faculty of Oriental Studies can apply for a Yousef Jameel Scholarship. It is for one-year master's students at the faculty. It is funded by Sheikh Yousef Abdul Latif Jameel. The award covers the full cost of tuition fees. It also includes a grant for living expenses worth over £13,800. Up to two scholarships are given each year.
The main requirement is that students must have applied for a master's course at the relevant faculty. It is awarded on academic merit so is given to the top performing students. Some courses are excluded. These include DPhils, MPhils, two-year master’s courses, Postgraduate Certificate courses, Postgraduate Diploma courses, part-time courses, and non-matriculated courses.
