New full-time undergraduate students can get financial awards provided by the National Scholarship Programme and the University of Derby. These scholarships are for students with low household incomes. The awarded amount is £2,000 and is given to 1,006 students. The scholarship can be awarded to both fill-time and part-time students, but part-time students receive a pro-rata amount.
The National Scholarship is available to all students whose household income is £25,000 a year or less. Other than that, students must have high UCAS tariff points - 3001 or above. Disables students and/or care leavers have an advantage. Students who come from low participation postcode areas also get additional points when it comes to making a decision.
