The Dr H H Stewart Literary Scholarships and Prizes are made possible through the input of three higher education institutions that are also the home universities of the beneficiaries: National University of Ireland, Queens University in Belfast, and Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. They are valued at €1,000 each. No specific application is necessary. Instead they are allocated according to the results of the Fine Arts Examination and First Commerce International and BCL (Europe) Examination. They are given to the top three students.
The marks of students in participating universities are examined to determine the best work and highest grades. Students who are natives of France, Germany, Italy and Spain are not eligible for consideration in language-based performance examinations.
