General Description
The Letterkenny Institute of Technology is part of the Back to Education Allowance programme. BTEA is for single parents, unemployed people, and people with disabilities, receiving certain payments from the Department of Social and Family Affairs. It consists of grants to help with the expenses for an approved 2nd or 3rd level course.
Requirements
Applicants must be over 21 or over 24 for post graduate courses and been getting a qualifying social welfare payment. Applicants must always have been accepted onto a qualifying course.
