The European Union funds the Phoenix Project under the Erasmus program. This funding aims to develop mobility between the EU and higher education institutions in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria and Jordan. There are scholarships of €1000 per month for Undergraduates (5 month period) and Masters students (9 month period), and €1800 monthly for Post-Doctorate students (6 month period).
Applicants must be EU nationals with a good understanding of the language spoken in the host country. The scholarships are open to all levels of education, from 2nd year Bachelors upwards. Those who have benefited from another Erasmus grant in the past will be ineligible.
