The CERN laboratory in Geneva offers an opportunity to join its Summer Student Program. The idea is to provide an opportunity to undergraduate students to get involved in the activities at CERN. A financial award of 90 Swiss Francs (currently about 74 Euro) per day is offered, as well as a travel allowance. The term of the appointment is between eight and thirteen weeks.
Undergraduates must have completed at least three years of full-time study to be eligible. Applicants' area of study must be in physics, computing, or engineering. Students must be a national of a CERN member country. A good knowledge of English is required, and an additional knowledge of French is advantageous.
