The Government of Chile, through the National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICYT), provides for scholarships that pay for the pursuit of certain Master's degrees in countries other than Chile. The idea is that returned beneficiaries of the program will enrich the cultural fabric of Chile. he benefits include 100% of all tuition costs and a round trip ticket to and from the place of study. There is also a one-time payment of $500 (currently about 370 Euro) and a yearly stipend of $1100 (currently about $820 Euro) for books and health insurance. Additionally, there is a stipend for monthly living expenses according to the cost of living of the target country and for any additional family members such as children or a spouse. The program is granted for a maximum of two years.
Applicants must possess a university or professional degree. Applicants must graduate at the top 30% of their class. MBE, MBA, and LLM programs will not be funded. Applicants must be enrolled in programs that are accredited and full-time. Applicants must be citizens or residents of Chile
