General information on this scholarship
General Description
This UFP merit scholarship is a fixed value granted to students who have shown exceptional academic performance. The merit scholarship is awarded annually. It consists of an amount equal to five times the value of the minimum wage established at the opening of the school year in which it is assigned.
Requirements
The ranking of candidates and the number of scholarships to be annually awarded are defined according the successive application of the following criteria:
a) Best average (simple average, rounded in hundredths) of the marks obtained in all curricular units that integrate the curriculum of the academic year in which the student was enrolled prior to their application to this scholarship;
b) Larger number of extracurricular jobs directly related to the course. These will be assessed and valued according to any presentation, publication or internal or external public disclosure;
c) Higher number involvement in University organs, and services or activities accomplished recognized as valuable for the UFP;
d) Have the lowest economic resources, calculated in accordance with the Rules of Scholarships Attribution to Students of the Higher Education Department of Higher Education, according to the Law.
