The Higher Institute Bissaya Barreto (Coimbra/Portugal) has 17 scholarships for students with good academic performance that are at risk of quitting studies because of economic failure. Each student will receive €3000 divided in 10 monthly payments. The grant has to be used with housing, food, transportation, and school supplies.
The students may not have other scholarships and applications will be submitted to a jury who will evaluate the family income, the grades, the number of years remaining to the end of the course, and civic participation.
