The scholarship is an annual cash benefit to lift the financial burden of course attendance or the completion of a traineeship, payable whenever the household in which the student integrates not contain an appropriate minimum level of financial resources.
The award of the scholarship and the development of the proposed decision rests upon the services of higher education institution responsible for the activities in the field of social action, commonly called Social Action Offices. For some schools, this analysis is performed by the Director of Student Support Services of the Directorate General of Higher Education.
