General Description
The Korea Foundation offers a fellowship to foreign students who are currently enrolled on an MA or PhD program in Korean Studies. Fellows will receive a monthly stipend of 1000 euro for PhD students and 600 euro for MA students; financing will be provided for a maximum of 4 years in the case of PhD students and 2 years for MA students.
Requirements
Applicants must be pursuing a Master´s or doctoral degree related to Korean Studies at universities of Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland; their field of study should belong to the Humanities and Social Sciences. Transcripts of college and graduate coursework will be required, as well as two letters of reference from academic staff and a language proficiency certificate. Nationals and permanent residents of the aforementioned countries will be given priority.
