The University of Algarve is part of the Erasmus Mobility Programme since 1993 and since then, more than 220 exchanges have been performed between it and other European universities. Sharing culture and knowledge, together with improving the cooperation between European universities are some of the aims of Erasmus. Students receive money that covers a percentage of their monthly expenses during their stay.
Students that want to study at the University of Algarve through the Erasmus program need to benefit from a formal nomination by the Mobility Office at their home university. Afterwards, the online application form can be filled in and submitted to the University of Algarve. Students should choose the courses that provide them the credits needed for the 30 ECTS per semester threshold.
