The goal of the scholarship is to give support to medicine students. The board furthermore takes into consideration, whether the recipient is in economic need, and has obtained good grades. Furthermore, funds can be granted in support of the scientific work of younger doctors, regardless of university graduated from, and towards the research in arthritis and cancer illnesses undertaken at The University of Copenhagen. Distribution of funds for medicine students are determined by percentage: 60% of funds to The University of Copenhagen, 27% to The University of Aarhus and 13% to The University of Southern Denmark. As a rule, sums below 8.000 kr. fall outside of the scholarship
