The Ministry of Education of People’s Republic of China launched a Chinese Government Scholarship program meant to help European students willing to study in PRC. The scholarship program covers numerous fees, such as registration fee, tuition fee, fee for basic learning materials and fee for dormitory on campus. It also includes one-off inter-city travel subsidy and living allowances, as well as Comprehensive Medical Insurance. The allowances range from 1400 Yuan to 2000 Yuan and depend on the the type of studies taken by the applicant. One-time allowances of 1000 to 1500 Yuan are also given upon arrival to China.
The candidates have to be members of an EU country. For the Chinese training program, the applicants are to have a senior high school diploma and be under age of 35. For applicants for general scholar programe, the requirement is to have completed no less than 2 years of undergraduate studies and be under the age of 45. Finally, the applicants for the senior scholr program need to have master’s degree or above, hold an academic title of associate professor or higher and be under the age of 50.
