The goal of the German Society for Surgery (DGCH) is to promote the scientific and practical concerns of surgery. To this end, the annual Wolfgang-Müller-Osten Scholarship will be awarded to PhD students. The aim is to help finance their production of scientific papers. The amount of funding is 5.000,00 EUR.
Applicants can be graduate students and post-doctoral students of human medicine. The funded research needs to address the history of surgery, the conservation of essence and unity of the surgery, the future development of surgery, the quality of the surgical activity in hospitals and private practices, or the scientific and ethical foundations of the medical, especially the surgical profession. Very good academic performance is expected.
