The aim of the Innovation Incubator PhD scholarship is to support the execution of knowledge transfer projects, research projects and advisory projects benefiting micro-enterprises and small- and medium-sized buisness (KMU). The goal of such support is to strenghen cooperation with the regional economy in the convergence region of Lüneburg. Successful applicants receive 1,300 Euros monthly and may continue to be awarded the stipend for a duration of up to 36 months.
Eligible to apply are students intending to write a thesis in one of the following areas: health economics in the region, digital media in the region, internationalisation of KMU in the region, sustainable agriculture in the region, culture and region, public administration and region, entrepreneurship for regional businesses, food indusry in the region or environment and sustainability in the region. Applicants must already possess relevant work experience (completed vocational training (Berufausbildung), work placement (Praktikum) of at least 8 weeks' duration or thesis and project work in one of the named areas). Applications will be judged mainly on the applicant's academic qualifications.
