General Description

The student support fund Siegen Studienförderfonds Siegen e.V. aims to supports talented students at the University of Siegen. A part of their support programme is aimed at offering assistance to financially needy students. Recipients get a total grant of 2,500 Euros paid out over two semesters in two payments of 1,250 Euros. In exceptional cases the support may be extended for more than a year. The programme is aimed at placing students in jobs in sanitation, heating and air conditioning/ventilation (SKH) both inside and outside of the university after the stipend is over.

Requirements

All students enrolled on a first degree at the University of Siegen are eligible to apply. Applications may be submitted at any point during a student's course of study. The support is awarded on the basis of both aptitude and financial need. Applicants must be entitled to support according to BAföG (German Federal Law on Support in Education) and must have an (at least) above average academic record as determined by their GPA.
