General Description
The state of Berlin twice annually awards the "Elsa-Neumann-Scholarship of Berlin" to promote highly qualified young scientists. The scholarship is endowed with 1,000 Euros plus a monthly allowance of 103 Euros. In addition, a family allowance of € 102.26 can be received monthly as well. The maximum funding period is 3 years. Completion Grants can be received for a maximum period of one year.
Requirements
This scholarship can be received by doctoral students of all subjects at Berlin universities. Applications may be made before the start of the promotion or near completion of the doctorate. The Elsa-Neumann-Scholarship is awarded solely on performance criteria. Applicants should therefore have provided far above average performace. The research project must show significant contribution to their respective field. Citizenship is not a decisive factor in granting scholarships.
