The Klaus-Murmann programme of the Foundation of the German Economy is one of the twelve nation-wide scholarship programmes. German PhD students and educational residents (pursuant to §8 of BaföG) are encouraged to apply. The package includes a monthly cash grant of 1.050,00 EUR. Funding can be received for a maximum period of three years.
German doctoral students and educational residents of all disciplines can apply. The application must be made at the beginning of the course. Completion grants are not awarded. For a successful application, above-average school and academic performance is required. In addition, community involvement (e.g. committee work at the college, participation in clubs or in a party, volunteering at a church or in social institutions) must have been provided. In addition, the Foundation of the German Economy attaches importance to the determination of the candidate in terms of his/her professional career. The scientific relevance of the dissertation topic will be assessed as well.
