General Description
The Friedrich-Naumann foundation awards scholarships to qualified students who are in their first study. Students can apply for funding that will be granted for one year. An application right before completion of the study is not possible. The promotion can be prolonged in certain cases. The amount of the scholarship will be determined with the guidelines of the Federal Ministry for Education and Research with regard of the Federal Training Assistance Act. The foundation focusses on the ideational values of its scholarship, in particular to convey liberal core values and key qualifications on the students. The scholarship shall prepare them for managerial functions in economy, politic and society. Therefore the scholar needs to have interest in social activities like projects and events.
Requirements
The foundation is directed towards students and postgraduates of all subjects, if they are not at the end of their study and are especially qualified, dedicated and sophisticated. An interest in politics as well as social and liberal commitments is expected.
