The Detlev Rohwedder Scholarship from the Federal Ministry of Finance is intended to promote the German National Academic Foundation. It finances doctoral study in the area of macroeconomics with a focus on finance. It is most interested in supporting work on the area of “property and state.” One scholarship of 1050 Euros monthly is awarded every year. The scholarship lasts a maximum of 3 years. It also provides a research grant of 100 Euros per month. Recipients can also take part in the support program of the German National Academic Foundation, for instance in doctoral forums, summer academies, and language courses.
University faculty may recommend especially motivated and talented doctoral students they advise. Projects proposed should promise important contributions to the academic field. Stipends are awarded based on the academic promise of the project and the applicant’s previous academic success.
